We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. I'd have to agree with greenfairy and crazypunkfairy. The brightness and clarity of the image makes you look innocent and angelic. It's a very nice portrait. Beautiful.
I'd even try increasing the brightness/contrast to create a more washed out image like thom-dot-com suggested.
